General Authority of Children’s Hospital in Tartous inaugurated

Tartous, SANA- Under the patronage of President Bashar al-Assad, Prime Minister Imad Khamis on Saturday inaugurated the General Authority of Children’s Hospital in Tartous province with a total area of 6000 Square meters and at a cost estimated at SYP 1 billion and 200 million.

The six–storey hospital includes 100 beds , 40 incubators, ambulatory department and intensive care unit (ICU).

Khamis listened to an explanation about the hospital presented by Director General of the Authority Dr. Yasser Jouriyeh who clarified that it provides diagnostic and therapeutic medical care in addition to its educational and training role.

Khamis indicated that the completion of this scientific and medical edifice during the years of wars shows the Syrian people’s will and their commitment to rebuild their country and erase traces of terrorist war targeting it.

In a statement to reporters, Health Minister Dr. Nizar Yazigi praised the efforts exerted to complete  the building of the authority.

The authority is affiliated to the Ministry of Health.
