Damascus, SANA – Supported by the Syrian government, the General Authority for Palestine Arab Refugees (GAPAR) and the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) distributed 400 food and health baskets in Yarmouk Camp in Damascus.
GAPAR Director Ali Mustafa said that the aid, which included 200 food baskets and 200 health packages, was distributed at Rama Street in the Camp on Saturday.
He added that the food baskets that have been distributed since 30th of last January have reached 53574, while the number of health baskets rose to 9484.
One person with a medical condition was evacuated to receive treatment, bringing to 4497 the number of patients evacuated so far from the camp.
The inhabitants of Yarmouk Camp are still trapped by armed terrorist groups who have repeatedly hampered the initiatives and efforts which were agreed on to put an end to the crisis inside the neighborhood and provide access to humanitarian assistance.
