Wide-scale Iraqi participation in 61st Damascus International Fair

Baghdad, SANA- Head of the Federation of Iraqi Chambers of Commerce Abdul Razzaq al- Zuhairi affirmed that large numbers of Iraqi companies, businessmen, and traders desire to widely participate in the 61st edition of Damascus International Fair.

Al- Zuhairi’s remarks came during a meeting with Syria’s Ambassador to Baghdad Sattam Dandah on Thursday.

Al- Zuhairi said that the Iraqi market is in urgent need of Syrian goods because it is the demand of the Iraqi public for its high quality that exceeds many of its imported foreign counterparts.

For his part, Dandah affirmed the importance of upgrading economic cooperation and trade exchange between the two countries for the benefit of the two brotherly peoples, and facing common challenges.

He pointed out that the planned reopening of al -Bukamal- al -Qaim border crossing will provide plenty opportunities for the movement of goods and restore economic activity.
