Damascus, SANA – Defense Minister Maj. Gen. Ali Abullah Ayoub stressed that the Syrian Arab Army since its establishment has carried the identity of the homeland and has been keen on assuming its national and Pan-Arab duties.
In a phone call with the Syrian TV Channel on occasion of the 74th anniversary of founding the Syrian Arab Army, Ayoub said that the Army personnel have always been an example to follow in bravery and readiness to sacrifice for the sake of the homeland.
He congratulated the Syrian Arab Army, which has preserved the security of the homeland and protecting the Syrian people, wishing quick recovery to those injured and saluting souls of the martyrs.
He expressed conviction that the Army is able to fulfill its task in eliminating terrorism from all over the country.
Gen. Ayoub stressed that since its establishment, the Syrian Arab Army has been the defender of the Arab Nation’s issues fighting for the security of Syria and the Arabism of Palestine as well as supporting resistance.
