Damascus, SANA – The national activity for signing the longest letter of support for the occupied Syrian Golan and its people continued its activities on Tuesday, with participants gathering in front of Damascus Governorate building.
The activity began in Sweida, going through Daraa, Quenitra, Damascus Countryside, Homs, Hama, Aleppo, Lattakia, and Tartous, finally reaching Damascus, its final destination, where the letter will be delivered to the UN representative in Syria to voice protest of US President Donald Trump’s declaration on the occupied Syrian Golan.
Participants in the activity told SANA that Trump’s declaration cannot change the fact that the Golan is occupied Syrian territory as per international law and UN Security Council resolutions.
The activity will continue on Tuesday evening at Arnous Square and on Wednesday in front of the General Establishment of Radio & TV and the General Sports Union.
The activity is organized by “Yalla Sawa” team which consists of 14 women from across the country, who are gathering signatures on a roll measuring 1000 by 1.5 meters.
