Cabinet discusses preparations for university enrolment process

Damascus, SANA – The Cabinet discussed on Sunday the preparations of the Higher Education Ministry to enroll students who passed the high school certificate exam in public and private universities and institutes for the next academic year.

During a weekly session chaired by Prime Minister Imad Khamis, the Cabinet tasked the Education Ministry and Higher Education Ministry to prepare a human development program at schools and university to limit the impact of the terrorist war on students.

The Cabinet also agreed to deduct the years spent carrying out mandatory or auxiliary military service from age requirements for discharged personnel who apply for jobs with age requirements.

The Cabinet approved suggestions for developing the quality control system for products, and decided to rehabilitate the infrastructure in Tadmur (Palmyra) according to priorities, along with repairing damaged archeological sites.
