Damascus, Homs, SANA –Two civilians killed, 30 others injured in terrorist mortar attacks on Damascus.
The terrorists fired a number of mortar shells on the neighborhoods of Bab Tuma, Bab Sharqi, Bab al-Salam, al-Qas’a, Rukn-Eddin and al-Tadamoun in Damascus, claiming the lives of 2 civilians and injuring 30 others, causing large material damages to the sites.
A source at the Police Command told SANA that 15 mortar shells fell near Talah restaurant and al-Qishleh and al-Sufaniyeh Parks in Bab Tuma neighborhood and near al-Ross Tower in al-Qas’a neighborhood, claiming the lives of 2 civilians and injuring 30 others.
The source added that the terrorist attacks left large material damages to the citizens’ properties.
Meanwhile, 4 shells hit an area surrounding Jarer School and near al-Nahas bridge, injuring 11 civilians, causing material damage to a number of cars and shops in the site.
In the same context, another shell fell on al-Tadamoun neighborhood, leaving material damage to the site without human casualties.
Earlier,Two civilians were killed and ten were injured in a terrorist rocket attack on Ikrima and Wadi al-Zahab neighborhoods in Homs city.
A source at the province told SANA that terrorists fired two rocket shells at the city, with the first falling near Wadi al-Zahab telephone center, killing two civilians and injuring five, some of them children, while two other shells fell in al-Ushaq Street and near Ikrima New School in Ikrima neighborhood, injuring five civilians, some of them in critical condition.
The attacks also caused material damage to the areas.
Four citizens were injured on Monday when terrorists fired two mortar shells on the neighborhoods of Bab Touma and Bab al-Salam in Damascus.
A source at Damascus Police Command told SANA that terrorists fired two mortar shells, with one of them landing in al-Mzayyen Avenue in Bab Touma neighborhood and the other in in Bab al-Salam neighborhood.
Four people were injured in the attacks which also caused considerable material damage to six houses, a number of shops, and cars.
In Damascus countryside, three civilians including a child were injured on Monday when an explosive device planted by terrorists inside a car in al-Kiswa town went off.
A source in the province told SANA that terrorists detonated an explosive device after putting it inside a private car at al-Jam’aya street in western al-Kiswa town wounding two three-year old children and the owner of the car.
The injures of the civilians who were taken to hospital were between the minor and the medium, according to the source.
