Protests demanding expulsion of SDF from Deir Ezzor continue

Deir Ezzor, SANA – Protests against the US-backed SDF militias continued on Friday, with the people of al-Basira town in Deir Ezzor marching to demand the expulsion of those militias from the area.

Local sources that protests took place in the town of al-Basira demanding that the SDF militias, which are backed by US occupation forces, leave their towns and from the all the areas where they are located and where there is chaos and an outbreak of abductions and murder, in addition to monopolizing petroleum by the SDF and the companies that deal with them.

The sources said protested blocked the main roads in the area amidst a general strike and closure of stores.

Several protests against the SDF took place during the past two years in al-Basira and the villages of al-Ezba, Mhaimda, al-Husan, Safira Tahtani, Safira Foqani, al-Wasia, al-Muwaileh, al-Hsain, and Ghariba in the northwestern and northeastern countryside of Deir Ezzor.
