Moscow, SANA – Russian President’s Special Representative for the Middle East and Africa, Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov, discussed with Syria’s Ambassador to Russia, Riad Haddad the situation in Syria.
Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement on Tuesday that the Russian side stressed during the meeting its firm support to the exerted efforts for accelerating an urgent settlement for the crisis in Syria on the basis of resolutions of the intra-Syrian national dialogue in Sochi and articles of UNSC Resolution No. 2254.
The statement pointed out that the two sides hailed the importance of reconstructing the economic and social infrastructures in Syria and providing the convenient circumstances for the return of the Syrian refugees to their country.
