Damascus, SANA- Temperatures will continue to drop to become from 4 to 8 degrees below average as the country is affected by a low air pressure in all layers of the atmosphere accompanied by a cold and wet air mass.
Meteorology Department expected in its Sunday bulletin that the skies will be partly cloudy to cloudy and rainy and the rainfalls will be heavy and accompanied by thunder sometimes, particularly in the northwestern and al-Jazeera area.
The wind will be southeasterly with a low to moderate speed in the northern and al-Jazeera areas while it will be southwesterly with a moderate speed and active gusts in the other areas and the sea waves will be low to medium in height.
Different amounts of rainfalls have been registered in the Syrian provinces over the past 24 hours as follows: 56 mm in Aleppo, Damascus 43 mm, Quneitra 48mm, Tartous 32 mm and Hasaka 21 mm.
The expected temperatures in some major Syrian cities will be as follows: Damascus 15-6, Daraa 15-6, Homs 13-7, Lattakia 16-11, Aleppo 15-6 and Deir Ezzor 19-6.
