Baghdad, SANA Iraqi Minister of Industry and Minerals Saleh Abdullah al-Jubouri discussed with Syria’s Ambassador to Baghdad Sattam Jadaan al-Dandah fields of industrial cooperation between the two brotherly countries and the available investment opportunities in Iraq.
“During the meeting, Minister al-Jubouri affirmed the deep-rootedness of the relations binding Iraq and Syria,” the Iraqi Ministry of Industry and Minerals said in a statement on Monday.
Al-Jubouri indicated that the Iraqi Ministry of Industry is open to the brotherly and neighborly states and the other countries across the world to benefit from their capabilities and experiences in adding new production lines and establishing new industrial projects in Iraq.
The statement added that al-Jubouri expressed his ministry’s readiness to work and cooperate with the brotherly country of Syria in different industrial domains and sectors through the announced and the available investment opportunities by the companies affiliated to the ministry so as to serve the interests of both sides.
In a statement to SANA correspondent in Baghdad, Ambassador al-Dandah underlined the importance of the mutual industrial work with Iraq.
He expressed readiness of the Syrian industrial companies to work with the companies affiliated to the Iraqi Ministry of Industry and Minerals and to exchange expertise with them in different industrial sectors.
Al-Dandah expressed hope that the meeting will contribute to opening new prospects of mutual cooperation between the two brotherly countries.
