Damascus, SANA- The Belarusian Embassy in Damascus on Tuesday evening held a reception ceremony making the Belarusian Armed Forces Day (Day of Fatherland Defenders) at Dama Rose Hotel.
In a speech during the ceremony, Belarusian Military Attaché at the Embassy Lt. Col. Denis Stasevich shed light on the high-level cooperation between Syria and Belarus Republic in the military and technical domains.
The Belarusian diplomat hailed the victories over terrorism achieved by the Syrian Arab Army, supported by its allies.
For his part, Assistant Foreign and Expatriates Minister Dr. Ayman Sousan expressed Syria’s appreciation of the Belarusian stance in support of it in the face of terrorism in a way that reflects the depth of the historic relation binding the two countries.
Sousan noted that the initiative by Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko hosting a number of the martyrs’ sons in Belarus reflects his appreciation of the value of martyrdom and the greatness of martyrs.
