Damascus, SANA – The Central Bank of Syria (CBS) announced issuing certificates of deposit in Syrian Pound, with a nominal value of SYP 100 million and 4.5% interest rate and one year maturity.
In a circular sent out on Monday, the CBS said the certificates maturity date comes after one year from 21/2/2019, and the minimum number of certificates that can be acquired by eligible sides is 5 and the maximum is 10% of each bank’s liquidity.
Requests for the certificates can be made from 19/2/2019 until 20/2/2019 from 9 AM till 12 PM at the CBS register.
