Damascus, SANA _Syria’s men national basketball team started a training camp in the Damascus-based al-Faiha Sports City under the supervision of Serbian coach Veselin Matic in preparation to complete competitions of World Cup qualifiers .
Syria’s team is scheduled to face teams of South Korea and China in the second round of qualifiers scheduled for late February.
The team includes Sharif al-‘Ash, Omar Idelbi, Hani Dreibi, Tareq al-Jabi, Omar al-Sheikh Ali, Khalil Khouri, Abdul Wahab al-Hamwi, Sibwa Khrajian, Tawfiq Saleh, Diab al-Shawakh, Antony Bakr, Georgy Nazarean, Salim Haddad, Ali Khader and Nadim Issa .
