Daraa, SANA- Syrian Arab Red Crescent(SARC)- Daraa Branch on Thursday delivered a humanitarian food convoy to five towns in Daraa northeastern countryside in the framework of the humanitarian response plan for the current year.
Chairman of SARC Branch in Daraa Dr. Ahmed al-Masalma told SANA that 36 trucks loaded with 6950 food baskets and 6850 flour bags were delivered to five towns in the northeastern countryside of Daraa.
2500 baskets were distributed in al-Harak city, 1000 baskets were distributed in al-Maliyha al-Gharbiya, 1300 baskets in al-Maliyha al-Sharqiya , 1100 baskets in Alma and 1050 baskets in Nahta.
Al-Masalma added that a flour bag was distributed with each food basket , indicating that the aid is provided by the World Food Program (WFP).
