Damascus, SANA – The band Adonia, which consists of 26 youths, performed its debut concert on Saturday at the House of Arts in Damascus city.
The band began the concert by playing the Syrian national anthem and the anthem of the Syrian Social Nationalist Party, followed by a medley of patriotic pieces both old and new, in addition a sketch which tackled social issues and the crisis in Syria.
The band’s director Tarek al-Mnajjed told SANA that the band aims to represent Syrian youth and give voice to their issues and concerns, noting that the concept of the band materialized two months ago and that it’s supported by the Syrian Social Nationalist Party.
