Damascus, SANA_ Grand Mufti of the Republic Dr. Ahmad Badr al-Din Hassoun said that Syria has triumphed over terrorism and will not forget friends who stood by its side, on top the Russian friendly people.
” Russia stood in one trench with Syria and its people,” Mufti Hassoun said during his meeting with a delegation of United Russia party headed by Dmitry Sablin in Damascus on Wednesday.
He hailed the sacrifices made by the Russian soldiers in the battle against terrorism alongside their Syrian comrades.
Sablin and members of the delegation reiterated their country’s support for the Syrian people in the face of terrorism, expressing the desire to strengthen the existing cooperation relations between the two friendly countries.
