Havana, SANA – Chairman of the Arab Union in Cuba Alfredo Darwish condemned the US and its western allies double standards towards the international issues, particularly their alleged war against terrorism.
During his meeting with Head of the Syrian diplomatic mission in Havana Dr. Loae al-Uoji on Friday, Darwish pointed out that the conspiracy and terrorism which Syria is exposed to aim at undermining its entity, role and leadership, asserting that targeting Syria means targeting Arabism and Islam.
He hailed the resilience of the Syrian people, army and leadership in the face of terrorism.
For his part, al-Uoji stressed that Syria is engaged in a war against terrorism on behalf of the world’s peoples
He pointed out that Syria will ever remain “the beating heart of Arabism”.
