New York, SANA- Russian, Iranian and Turkish foreign ministers discussed prospects of solving crisis in Syria.
Interfax Agency quoted the Russian Foreign Ministry as saying in a statement that the foreign ministers of Russia Sergey Lavrov, Iran Mohammad Javad Zarif and Turkey Mouloud Jawish Oglu discussed in a meeting held in New York on Wednesday prospects of launching a true sustainable process for the political settlement of the crisis in Syria and the situation on the ground, particularly in the de-escalation zone in Idleb.
The Russian Foreign Ministry noted that “participants in the meeting expressed appreciation of the agreements reached in Sochi on Sep. 17th regarding the stability of the situation in Idleb which would allow the continuation of combating terrorism relentlessly and protecting civilians.
The Ministry indicated that talks during the meeting reiterated the necessity of speeding up the work for solving the crisis in Syria based on the outcomes of the Syrian National Dialogue Congress which was held in Sochi and the resolution of the Security Council no. 2254.
