Damascus, SANA-Tourism Ministry held a celebration Wednesday on the International tourism Day at Dar al-Assad for Culture and Arts in Damascus.
The celebration included a show for documentary film about tourism in Syria, the impacts of crisis on the tourism and archeological sites as well as a short film titled, “Syria will remain a bride,” in addition to music pieces and national songs.
“Those activities indicate the recovery of the tourist sector in the country where the Syrian people are capable to perform the duty of defending the Homeland against the terrorist attack on the Syrian civilization,” Khalaf al-Miftah, Member of al-Baath Arab Socialist Party’s regional leadership told SANA.
Minister of Tourism Bishr Yazaji, for his part, affirmed that this event comes in the framework of encouraging the internal and popular tourism which will have positive impacts on the national economy and provide job opportunities to a big number of citizens.
He called on Syrian businessmen to offer their initiatives for tourism investment in the local societies, showing readiness to offer the needed facilitations to promote different sectors, particularly the handicrafts and traditional industries.
