Damascus, SANA – Efforts exerted to deliver humanitarian aid to all Syrians across the country, especially those liberated from terrorism, and the steps taken to facilitate the return of displaced Syrians abroad were the focus of talks between Minister of Local Administration and Environment, Hussein Makhlouf and UN Under-Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs and Emergency Relief Coordinator, Mark Lowcock.
During the meeting, Makhlouf stressed that Syria is ready to receive all returnees, provide them with educational and health services and ensure a decent life for all, underlining the importance of enhancing cooperation with international organizations in order to facilitate the return of those displaced due to terrorism.
Lowcock highlighted the standing cooperation between the Syrian government and the international relief and humanitarian organizations operating in Syria according to response plans, noting that he will work on increasing financial support required to implement these plans.
