Moscow, SANA – Damascus International Fair in its 60th edition is one of the biggest fairs in the Middle East region, according to the Russian Izvestia Newspaper, which expected that the Fair would usher in a new phase of economic cooperation between Syria and Russia including the signing of bilateral agreements.
On Wednesday, the newspaper published an article under the title of “The Fair of Available Opportunities” saying that the Russian pavilion this year will occupy an area of 500 square meters, within which a forum for Syrian and Russian businessmen would be held and it would include a public session on “the Syrian-Russian trade-industry dialogue” and round tables on topics related to agriculture, trade, industry, energy, reconstruction of infrastructure, transportation, communication and other topics.
The Newspaper continued to say that according to the press office of the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Russian delegation to the Fair will include representatives of government organizations and companies from major Russian cities and areas such as Moscow, Petersburg and Chelyabinsk.
It added that important agreements are to be signed between the two sides for implementing a number of joint projects, which are expected to have a great influence on the cooperation level between Syria and Russia.
