Cabinet approves services plan for areas liberated from terrorism in the south

Damascus, SANA – The Cabinet approved on Sunday a services plan for the areas liberated by the Syrian Arab Army from terrorism in the south of Syria, which covers repairing roads and restoring water, electricity, health, communications, and education services, along with retail outlets and police stations.

In its weekly session chaired by Prime Minister Imad Khamis, the Cabinet instructed the Agriculture Ministry to expand fish farming, and it also decided to begin funding modern irrigation projects, and approved a new production system for wheat and a plan for the cultivating lands owned by state establishments.

The Cabinet also discussed the bill for the new contracts law, and set the exchange for the USD in the state general budget for the 2019 fiscal year at SYP 435.
