Paris, SANA- Syrian expat photographer Hagop Vanesian was awarded three honorable mentions in the PX3 Paris Photography Prize, surpassing thousands of photographs from more than 85 countries.
Vanesian won the awards under the category of War “Conflict” which carried various titles, including “Stories”, “War Engineering” and “the Portrait of War” in which the paintings confirm the insistence of the Syrians to survive under the terrorist war.
Vanesian was born in 1970 in Aleppo. He started his career as a documentary photographer in 1999 and held several exhibitions in Aleppo, Damascus, Moscow and Hermitage Museum in Saint Petersburg.
His last exhibition in Syria was titled “Aleppo…A Civilization and Ashes” at Dar Al-Assad for Culture and Arts in 2014, which showcased more than 50 black and white photos reflecting the real image about life in Aleppo during the war on Syria.
