Aleppo, SANA- The determination to rebuild the old markets of Aleppo and its neighborhoods is stronger than the destruction of terrorism, which has affected one of the oldest cities in history recorded on the World Heritage List.
The pulse of life returns to Aleppo’s Old City gradually as the technical workshops continue to remove rubble in order to facilitate traffic to its parts.
Work is also underway to rehabilitate the old traditional markets, such as al-Aba, Bab Antakia and Khan Khair Beik. Many of the city’s Khans have been opened in preparation for the return of traders and the reopening of shops such as Al-Jumrok Khan (Customs’ Khan).
