Damascus, SANA- Syria will take part in the Mediterranean Games (ICMG) due to be held in the Spanish city of Tarragona from June 22 to July 1.
The Syrian national teams will participate in the competitions of 11 games which are: swimming, athletics, cycling, shooting, triathlon, boxing, judo, wrestling, weightlifting, karate and badminton.
Chairman of the General Sports Federation Muwafaq Jum’a said that this event will be the real test of the national teams ahead of the 18th Asian Games hosted by Indonesia in the cities of Jakarta and Palembang next August.
The multisport competition features 33 sports disciplines with about 4,000 athletes from 26 different countries.
