People’s Assembly continues discussing government’s ministerial statement

Damascus, SANA – The People’s Assembly held a session on Monday during which the members continued discussing the new government’s ministerial statement on its work program for the next stage.

The Assembly members called for reconsidering education and higher education programs, supporting women, shedding light on the financial and economic difficulties affecting citizens, and addressing unemployment and scientific research.

They also called for restoring citizens’ trust in the government, focusing on administrative reform, combating corruption, establishing a ministry to tackle issues related to youths, and providing fuel and electricity to Aleppo city.

The MPs demanded strict control of markets to improve the living conditions of citizens.

Issues pertaining to the situation of martyrs’ families, aid efforts, the grave violations against the Syrian refugees in Lebanon, as well as several service-related issues, were also discussed during the session.
