Lavrov: Douma attack “fabricated” with help of foreign intelligence services

Moscow, SANA-Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov affirmed that the Russian experts have found no traces of chemical weapons’ use in Douma city in Damascus Countryside.

In a press conference with his Dutch Counterpart Stef Blok in Moscow on Friday, Lavrov said that “we have irrefutable evidence that this was another staged event, and that the secret services of a certain state that is now at the forefront of a Russophobic campaign was involved in this staged event.”

He noted that the mission of the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) did not respond quickly, but it sent a team to start work tomorrow.

He stressed that any adventure in Syria will leave negative results in the region indicating that some countries should stop pursuing narrow geopolitical interests.
