Update-15 citizens injured due to shelling attacks in Damascus, its Countryside and Homs

Provinces, SANA -15 civilians, among them children, were injured Monday in attacks by armed groups who targeted Damascus and its countryside with sells.

Earlier, the armed groups positioned in Eastern Ghouta fired several shells on al-Madaris Street in the vicinity of Bab al-Salam in al-Amara area, injuring six civilians, including children, and causing material damage to public and private properties, a source at Damascus Police Command told SANA.

A source at Damascus Countryside Police Command said ten other shells landed in the vicinity of Harasta residential suburb, causing only material damage.

Another shell was landed in the surroundings of Ibn Sina Hospital, according to the source.

A material damage was caused due to an attack with two shells on the neighborhoods of Jaramana city, the source added.

Later, the source said that three citizens were injured and a materail damage was caused when the armed groups fired a shell on al-Sayyeda Zainab.

In a response to the attacks, units of the Syrian Arab Army directed precision strikes on the areas from which the shells were launched, destroying a number of launching pads and inflicting losses upon the armed groups.

Woman injured due to shelling attacks by armed groups in Homs

A woman was injured when the armed groups fired shells on a number of villages in Homs countryside in a new violation of the de-escalation zone agreement to the north of Homs city.

SANA’s reporter in Homs said that the armed groups fired a number of shells on Ayn al-Dananier village in northeastern countryside of Homs, causing the injury of a woman.

The reporter added that armed groups positioned in al-Houla area targeted with mortar shells the villages of Akrad al-Dasnieh and kafarnan to the northwest of Homs city, causing material damage to the citizens’ houses and properties.

Units of Syrian Arab Army responded to the attacks by striking the areas from which the shells were launched, destroying a number of rocket launching pads.
