Abu Dhabi, SANA – A number of Syrian equestrians achieved advanced results at Sharjah International Show Jumping Championships, which wrapped up on Saturday after three-day competition amid large international participation
In the competition of 125 cm, the equestrian Hisham Gharib ranked first with 51.19 seconds, and he also won the first place in the competition of 130 cm with 46.84 seconds, while the rider Mohammad Anas Abo Kalam came at the second place with a time of 52.65 seconds.
During the preliminary competition, Qutayba al-Dughli and Emad Gharib completed their competition (one round) in the category of 130 cm without mistakes, and the same applies to Aya Hamsho and Laith al-Ali in children category of 110 cm.
On the second day, Ahmad Hamsho came second in the competition of 140 cm with 31.94 seconds, while Hisham Gharib and Ahmad Hamsho were in fifth place with four mistakes each.
On the third day, Qutayba al-Dughli ranked fourth in the 135 cm event with 42.21seconds, Emad Gharib ranked fifth with 45.05 seconds, and Shadi Gharib ranked eighth.
In children category, Laith al-Ali came second with 40.03 seconds, Shadi Gharib came fifth with 37.26, and Aya Hamsho came sixth with 57.35 seconds.
