Sweida, SANA – The Small Projects Forum kicked off, based on initiative by English language teacher Damiana Qassam.
A large group of talented children were part of the forum which aims to develop their cooperative spirit, encourage them to take initiative, increase their self-confidence, and help children to draw their dreams for the future.
“The forum prepares children ages between 6 to 12 years old to be able to train other children and inspire creativity in them through drawing to express their ideas and turn their words into paintings, as well as teaching them the importance of teamwork,” Damiana told SANA.
“I am training 20 children to be the core of my project and to contribute later in training hundreds of children within two years in workshops and campaigns in coordination with charity societies, organizations, kindergartens, and private schools,” she went on to say.
The forum involves conducting workshops in two stages; the first consists of 45-day training courses in which the child learns how to paint and draw, and how to reflect the idea in expressive drawings, while they move in the second stage into the practical phase, as they become young trainers for other children.
