Cuba, Syria to enhance students’ cooperation

Havana, SANA- First Secretary of the Cuban National Young Communist League (UJC) Committee Susely Morfa Gonzalez stressed importance of enhancing ties between Syria and Cuba, hailing the resilience and resistance of the Syrian people, and bravery of the Syrian Arab Army in facing terrorism.

Gonzalez’s remark came during a meeting with Syria’s Ambassador in Cuba Idris Mia on Friday.

She expressed her country’s desire to strengthen cooperation with Syria, particularly exchanging visits of students and youth and holding scientific camps for the students of both countries.

In turn, Mia reiterated importance of consolidating the bilateral cooperation, particularly in the field of exchanging student and party delegations for the interests of the two countries.

The Ambassador pointed out that the majority of the Syrian lands have become safe as the citizens started to return homes thanks to the sacrifices of the Syrian Arab Army.
