Damascus, SANA- Rain fell in a number of Syrian provinces during the past 24 hours, as the heaviest rain amounts have registered 80mm in Hama province.
According to the rain bulletin issued by the Ministry of Agriculture and Agrarian Reforms, the rain amounts in some Syrian provinces reached 2mm in Damascus countryside, 9mm in Quneitra, 32mm in Homs, 6mm in Daraa, 14 in Sweida, 67mm in Tartous and 67mm in Lattakia.
The Meteorology Department expected in its Thursday bulletin that temperatures will remain around average as the country is affected by a low air pressure accompanied by a wet and cold air mass in all layers of the atmosphere.
The Department added that the skies will be partly cloudy in general to cloudy and rainy in most areas, rain will fall heavily accompanied with thunder.
The department warned against formation of floods in the valleys; snow will fall over the mountains whose height is over 1,000 meters.
The winds will be western to southwestern with active gust while the sea waves will be high in amplitude.
The expected temperatures in some main Syrian cities are as follows: Damascus 12/03, Daraa 14/04, Homs 11/02, Hama 12/03, Lattakia 16/11, Aleppo 11/02 and Deir Ezzor 16/05.
