Monday weather: Skies partly cloudy, showers expected

Damascus, SANA- Meteorology Department expected in its Monday bulletin that temperatures will remain around average or slightly higher as the country is affected by a superficial low air pressure accompanied by northwestern wet air currents in the upper layers of the atmosphere.

The skies will be clear to partly cloudy in general and rain showers are expected to fall over different areas across the country.

The wind will be westerly to northwesterly with a moderate speed and the sea waves will be low to medium in height.

Different amounts of rainfalls have been registered in several Syrian provinces over the past 24 hours as follows: Damascus Countryside 20 mm, Quneitra 20mm, Sweida 14 mm, Hama 41 mm, Tartous 52 mm and Lattakia 66mm.

The expected temperatures in some of the major Syrian cities will be as follows: Damascus 14/6, Daraa 16/7, Homs 14/4, Lattakia 18/10, Aleppo 12/4 and Deir Ezzor 16/6.
