Christmas tree lit up at al-Aziziyeh Square in Aleppo

Aleppo, SANA – The largest tree was lit up at al-Aziziyeh Square in Aleppo city on Tuesday as the Syrians are preparing for the celebrations of Christmas and the New Year.

Aleppo Governor Hussein Diyab said that lighting Christmas tree is a message of amity and peace from the locals of Aleppo to the whole world, a message of joy, sacrifices and new birth.

Governor Diyab added that the coincidence between the Christmas and the first anniversary of liberating Aleppo from terrorism proves that Syria will triumph over terrorism and its supporters thanks to the resilience and unity of its people, army and leadership.

Secretary of al-Baath Arab Socialist Party-Aleppo Branch Fadel Najjar said that Syria will remain a cradle embracing all holy religions, civilizations and history, and the land of love and peace.
