Kazakh Foreign Ministry: Majority of UNSC members positively evaluate de-escalation zones in Syria

Astana, SANA- Kazakh foreign Ministry said that Majority of members of the United Nations Security Council positively evaluate the establishment of de-escalation zones in Syria.

The Kazakh Foreign Ministry said Thursday in statement that the majority of the UNSC’s members had confirmed, during UN Security Council’s session on Syria held on Wednesday, that Astana agreements on de-escalation zones in Syria have significantly reduced the violence in Syria.

The statement warned of the threat of mines left behind the terrorist organizations, mainly Daesh (ISIS) terrorists, calling for doing everything possible to dismantle the unexploded ordnance (UXO) to ensure the displaced people return their houses safely.
