Daraa, SANA- A humanitarian aid including food baskets, provided by Russian government, was distributed by Daraa governorate to 500 families in al-Shaqranieh in northern Daraa countryside in addition to providing medical assistance to the needy and sick people.
Deputy Chairman of the Executive Office in Daraa governorate, Awad Sweidan, said that the Russian aid confirms the deep-rooted relations between Syria and Russia and the continuous coordination in confronting terrorism, hailing the Russian role in supporting Syria in combating terrorism.
Representative of the Russian Coordination Center in Hmeimim indicated that the humanitarian aid aims to alleviate locals’ suffering due to the war, stressing that the Russian support will continue until security and stability are achieved and terrorism is eliminated in Syria.
