Al-Moallem: Syria will go ahead in war against terrorism and its backers till achieving victory

Damascus, SANA- Syria will go ahead in its war against Takfiri terrorism and its backers across all the Syrian territories till achieving victory and restoring peace and stability to every inch of the Syrian territories, Deputy Prime Minister, Foreign and Expatriates Minister Walid al-Moallem said.

During his meeting with Iranian Supreme Leader’s Adviser for International Affairs, Ali Akbar Velayati, and the accompanying delegation on Monday, al-Moallem reviewed the latest field and political developments in Syria.

He hailed the significant military victories achieved by the heroic Syrian Arab Army in cooperation with the allies and the friends, the last of which was the liberation of Deir Ezzor City which foiled the schemes hatched against Syria.

He expressed Syria’s appreciation for the great support provided to it by the Islamic Republic of Iran.

Al-Moallem and Velayati discussed the distinguished Syrian-Iranian relations and means of enhancing them in all domains.

The latest developments of the situations in Syria and the region in light of the latest political and field changes were also on the table.

Viewpoints were identical on the necessity of strengthening coordination and consultation between the two brotherly countries in the next period to further enhance the victories achieved by the resistance axis and its allies in the face of terrorism and its backers.

For his part, Velayati affirmed that the Islamic Republic of Iran will continue to stand by Syria on all levels and support it in the battle against terrorism.

He extended congratulations on the recent victories against ISIS terrorist organization in eastern Syria which represent a victory for the resistance axis in the region and a defeat of the Zionist-US project and its backers.
