Moscow, SANA – The Special Representative of Russian President for Middle East and Africa, Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov stressed the need to rapidly solve the crisis in Syria.
Bogdanov made his remarks during a meeting with a Syrian delegation which comprises Brawin Ibrahim, Secretary General of the Youth Party, Chairman of the People’s Party, Nawaf al Melhem and Head of al-Nour Association for Relief and Development Mohammed Jalbout.
The Russian Foreign Ministry stated that the meeting focused on the need to rapidly reach a settlement to the crisis in Syria, strengthen the role of public institutions and activate their participation in restoring the economy and infrastructure of the Syrian state.
The statement added that only a broad intra-Syrian dialogue, including all spectrums of Syrian society, can pave the way to achieve peace and stability in the country and create conditions to improve the humanitarian situation of its people.
