Hasaka governor calls on UNICEF to pay attention to camps’ situation

Hasaka, SANA – Hasaka Governor Jayez al-Moussa affirmed the need to pay attention to the situation of camps that suffer from difficult humanitarian conditions due to the spread of diseases and lack of provided health services.

Al-Moussa’s talk came during a meeting with a delegation from the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF).

For his part, Head of Hasaka Health Directorate Mohammad Rashad Khalaf, who attended the meeting, called for the necessity of securing the requirements of the national vaccine program, helping in equipping the children’s hospital in al-Nashwa neighborhood and securing medications for chronic diseases such as thalassemia and rabies.

The UNICEF’s representative said the aim of the visit is to consolidate the relations between the Governorate and the UN organization, noting that the organization’s team will visit the camps to inspect the situation there and work on paying more attention to the children in the province.
