Thursday weather forecast: Temperatures to drop, skies clear to partly cloudy

Damascus, SANA- The temperatures will continue to drop, yet they will remain from 1 to 3 degrees above average as the country is affected by a superficial Indian seasonal low pressure accompanied by a low pressure in the upper layers of the atmosphere.

The Meteorology Department expected in its Thursday bulletin that the skies will be clear to partly cloudy in general while the weather will be misty in the eastern, al-Jazeera and al-Badiya “desert” areas.

The wind will be westerly to northwesterly with a low to moderate speed and the sea waves will be low in height.

On Friday and Saturday, the temperatures will be around average in most areas and the skies will be cloudy in general, and scattered rain showers are expected to fall over the coastal areas while the weather will be misty and relatively hot in the eastern, al-Jazeera and al-Badiya areas.

The expected temperatures in some of the major Syrian cities will be as follows: Damascus 37/19, Daraa 3418, Homs 334/20, Lattakia 31/23, Aleppo 37/20 and Deir Ezzor 43/23.
