Damascus, SANA- People’s Assembly held on Monday a session, chaired by Deputy Speaker, Najdat Ismael Anzour.
The Assembly appreciated the sacrifices of the army’s members who defend the homeland on the occasion of the 72nd anniversary of the army’s Day that comes on August 1st every year.
Later, members of the assembly discussed a number of draft bills and laws in the fields of industry and petroleum.
Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Ali Ghanem affirmed that there are promising quantities of gas, pointing out to an area which has a reserve of nearly 200 to 250 billion cubic meter of gas.
