Sunday weather: Temperatures to rise, reaching 42 in Damascus on Tuesday and Wednesday

Damascus, SANA – Temperatures remain above average by 1 to 3 degrees as the country is affected by a superficial seasonal low air
pressure accompanied by southwestern airstreams in the upper layers of the atmosphere.

The Meteorology Department expected in its Sunday bulletin that the skies will be relatively hot and clear in general, and misty and
hot in the eastern, al-Jazira and al- Badiya desert areas.

Weather forecaster Shadi Jaweish told SANA that the gradual rise of temperatures will start today to reach its highest point on Tuesday
and Wednesday as temperatures are expected to reach 42 in Damascus and 47 in the eastern, al-Jazira, and al-Badiya areas.

On Thursday and Friday, temperatures are expected to drop, yet remain higher than average.

The expected temperatures in some main Syrian cities are as follows: Damascus 38/22, Daraa 35/21, Homs 35/20, Hama 39/23, Lattakia 33/25, Aleppo 38/23 and Deir Ezzor 42/26.
