Damascus, SANA- Temperatures will continue to rise to become above average by 5 to 7 degrees as the country is affected by the seasonal superficial low air pressure accompanied by the subtropical high air pressure in the upper layers of the atmosphere.
The Meteorology Department expected in its Monday bulletin that the atmosphere will be hot in general and misty and very hot in the eastern, al-Jazira and al-Badiya desert areas.
The winds will be changeable to northwestern of low speed and the sea waves will be low in amplitude.
In a statement to SANA, weather forecaster Radwan Issa said that the high air pressure will last till Wednesday when a slight drop in
temperature will occur, adding that temperatures in Damascus will reach 44 degrees today around noon.
The expected temperatures in some main of the main Syrian cities are as follows: Damascus 44/28, Daraa 42/26, Homs 44/23, Hama 45/25, Lattakia 34/25, Aleppo 44/25 and Deir Ezzor 46/29.
