Damascus, SANA – Speaker of the People’s Assembly Hadiyeh Abbas described relations between Syria and Iran as historic and strong, saying “Iran represents the real brother who has stood by Syria during years of crisis.”
Meeting the Iranian Ambassador in Damascus Javad Torkabadi, Abbas renewed Syria’s appreciation for Iran’s support to confront terrorism, stressing Syria’s determination to continue its war on terrorism, achieve victory and restore security and stability to the whole country.
In turn, Ambassador Torkabadi hoped that security and stability would prevail in Syria.
