Three killed, 12 injured in terrorist attacks with shells in several provinces

Damascus, SANA- 4 people were injured in terrorist attacks with mortar shells fired by armed groups on the residential neighborhoods in Damascus in a new violation of the Russian de-escalation memorandum in Syria.

A source at Damascus Police Command told SANA that the armed groups positioned in the Eastern Ghouta fired on Tuesday morning a number of mortar shells on al-Abbasiyyen area and Kafr Sowseh
neighborhood, inuring 3 persons and causing material damage to the citizens’ houses and a number of cars.

In a similar statement to SANA, a source at Damascus Countryside Police Command said that two mortar shells fell on the vegetables souk(market) in al-Kabbas residential area, injuring a person and causing material damage to the public and private properties.

In Deir Ezzor, SANA reporter said that two civilians were killed,eight others were injured when ISIS terrorists fired rocket shells
on al-Qusour neighborhood.

The reporter added that the attack also caused material damage to private and public properties.

Meanwhile, a person was killed in an attack by ISIS with rocket shells on al-Masoudia village to the east of Homs city.

SANA’s reporter in Homs said that terrorist groups affiliated to ISIS positioned in Tallet Eid al-Hassoun had fired a number of rocket shells at al-Masoudia village in Jub al-Jarah area, claiming the life of a civilian and causing massive material damage to citizens’ properties.

The Syrian government announced commitment to the Russian de-escalation zones memorandum with reserving its right to a fierce response to any violation by the armed groups. The government also
emphasized the unity, sovereignty, and territorial integrity of Syria and commitment to the cessation of hostilities system which was signed last December 30.
