Army engineering units dismantle a truck rigged with explosives in al-Waer neighborhood

Homs, SANA – The army engineering units on Wednesday found a truck rigged with explosives in al-Waer neighborhood at the western outskirts of Homs City while combing the neighborhood after it was cleared of arms and militants.

SANA’s reporter in Homs said that the truck was rigged with explosives by terrorists and parked near one of the buildings at Block 8 in al-Waer neighborhood, and that the engineering units dismantled it completely without any damage.

The reporter added that the engineering units and the authorities discovered a number of positions of the terrorist groups inside a number of the residential buildings at Block 8 that were used by terrorists as torture cells and workshops for producing explosive devices, and some of these positions contained chemical substances.

On Tuesday, the authorities found a field hospital and a workshop for manufacturing explosives and shells in al-Waer neighborhood, in
addition to a large amount of heavy weapons and ammunition.
