De Mistura: The next Geneva talks on Syria will last for 3 days

Geneva, SANA – The UN Special Envoy for Syria Staffan de Mistura announced on Thursday that the sixth round of Geneva talks which will start on May 16th will be short to “hit the iron while it’s hot” following the last round of Astana talks.

“Let us confirm that we are preparing the intra-Syrian new round of talks next week. They will be starting on May 16. We are aiming as a target toward May 19,” de Mistura said in Geneva according to Sputnik news agency.

“There have been some outcomes which we find extremely potentially promising,” de Mistura added.
