Syria wins 11 medals including two gold medals in Muay Thai Arab Championship

Damascus, SANA – The Syrian team won a total of 11 medals (2 gold, 2 silver, and 7 bronze) at the Muay Thai Arab Championship held in Beirut, Lebanon, which concluded its activities on Monday evening.

In the men’s competitions, Al- al-Jaghal won a gold medal in the 57 kg category, Ahmad Shaker won bronze in the 51 kg category, Adnan Bardan won bronze in the 71 kg category, and Yamen Hujaira won bronze in the 91 kg category.

In the youths competitions Bassel Hainoun won silver in the 71 kg category, Tamam Alaeddin won bronze in the 60 kg category, and Tarek al-Ghanim won bronze in the 63 kg category, while in the women’s competitions Khitam Zahreddin won silver in the 60 kg category.

Zahreddin also won gold in the Muay Boran demonstration event, while al-Ghanim and Shaker won bronze in the solo fights category.

170 athletes from Syria, Lebanon, Morocco, Tunisia, Egypt, Algeria, Yemen, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Kuwait, Oman, Iraq, Palestine, and Jordan participated in the Muay Thai Arab Championship.
