Gatilov: The four baskets on the agenda of Syrian-Syrian dialogue in Geneva equally important

Geneva, SANA- Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Gennady Gatilov affirmed on Wednesday that the four baskets on the agenda of the Syrian-Syrian dialogue in Geneva are equally important and should be addressed with the due attention.

In a press statement on the sidelines of his participation in the fifth round of the Syrian-Syrian dialogue in Geneva, Gatilov said that the current round is not easy and the negotiation process is progressing with difficulty due to differences in positions of the parties on the priority of the topics to be discussed, although it was agreed on an agenda of 4 baskets during the previous round.

“Almost immediately after this meeting we will have one more meeting with the Syrian government’s delegation. We want to exchange our opinions about our prospects for the coming day or two days,” he added.

UN Special Envoy for Syria Staffan de Mistura intends to hold another round of the intra-Syria talks, but dates have not been chosen yet, Gatilov said.
